Gray Wolves

Gray Wolves are social dogs.  These dogs will travel in packs.  The alpha dog will be the leader of the group.  If any wolf disobeys the alpha male he will  get into a fight with the wolf that disobeyed him.  They do not bite when they are in the fight; they will just pretend to bite.  Later, after the fight is over, the dog that got into the fight with the alpha dog will lay down on the ground under the alpha dog.

Grey Wolves live all over North America except Mexico.   They also live in Europe.  Gray Wolves hunt  Deer, Caribou, Moose, and Elk.  At the beginning of a hunt the alpha male will howl to call the pack together to hunt.  Next they will move through the forest looking for prey.  When they find prey they will move closer to the prey from the opposite way the wind is blowing.   This will prevent the prey from smelling their scent and so they won't run away from the wolf.  Then they will start chasing the prey.  When the prey gets tired the wolves will jump on its back or its sides, biting or clawing their prey, which  makes the prey weaker.  Once it has weakened, the wolves will jump on its prey's neck, hanging on it with its claws.  Then the Gray Wolf will literally eat the poor animal alive. Their ferocious attack makes the Gray Wolf one of the most feared animals.
