Cheetah

This graceful big cat can go up to speeds of 70 miles an hour within seconds.  However they can only sustain this speed for less than one minute.  These cats eat  gazelle, wildebeest,  and wild boar.  Cheetahs will hunt by scanning the area, then if they spot any prey, they will quietly stalk it.  The cheetah will start running at it and when it is close enough, the cheetah will will pounce on its prey.  Fifty out of one hundred of  cheetahs hunts are successful.

Cheetahs live in certain parts of Africa.  They used to live all over Africa but now they are an endangered species because people hunt them for game and for their spots.  Cheetahs and other big cats might become extinct someday.
