Pelicans

Pelicans are known for their big throats which are called pouches.  These birds are social  birds which means they travel in flocks.  Pelicans fish by flapping their wings to drive the fish to shallow water.  Then they will put their mouth in the water and suck the fish into it`s mouth.  Brown pelicans will dive strait into the water with their mouth open scooping the fish up when they get to the water.  Pelicans live on the coast lines of  North America, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia.  These birds will eat all kinds of fish.  Pelicans are made for fishing.
