Red Tailed Hawks
On a car ride or a trip you better keep a lookout for Red Tailed Hawks. These birds are the only birds of prey that will get close to humans. They are often found living in urban areas. The reason they come into cities is because of the all you can eat buffet of pigeons.
Red Tailed Hawks hunt by perching on a fence or a dead tree. Their sharp eyes help them spot prey. Once they spot prey they will dive down at speeds of 120 mph, then swoop down to get their prey and then bring it back to their nest like this one on the photo is doing.
