Since it is Shark week all this week, on the Discovery Channel we will be writing about different sharks. Below is some information on sharks.
What are sharks?
Sharks are fish with bones made out of cartilage.
What is unique about sharks?
Sharks can sense blood from a mile away and can jump 20 feet in the air to catch prey.
How do sharks hunt?
Different sharks hunt different ways. For instance, Great White Sharks position themselves under their prey and then jump up to catch their prey.
Are sharks dangerous
Most sharks aren't but if some sharks mistake you for prey they attack!!!
What shark is the biggest shark?
The Whale Shark is the biggest shark. It can grow 45 feet long and weigh as much as 50,000 pounds.
Are all sharks carnivores?
No. Some are filter feeders. Filter feeders are fish that suck up plankton.
When do sharks hunt?
Sharks hunt around 6:00 p.m..
What is a shark favorite food?
Different sharks like different food. Some like fish, some like seals, and some like plankton.
